Refurbishment -
Darling Point

This 6 storey company title residential building underwent a refurbishment as well as conversion to strata title.

Works included:

  • Replacement of dilapidated windows which resulted in improved acoustic and thermal performance.

  • Balcony repairs including structural remediation, waterproofing and tiling.

  • Balustrade replacement to comply with current standards as well as improve the aesthetics of the building.

  • Brick tie replacement.

  • Fire services installation.

  • Lift replacement.

  • Render repairs.

  • Repainting.

SPMA’s role was to project manage all aspects of the building upgrades. The design and scoping process was undertaken utilising the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) method whereby a Contractor is engaged to collaborate with the Project Manager and the necessary consultants in order to identify all necessary items required to be included in the scope of works and to continuously prepare preliminary budgets so as to ensure costs are controlled throughout the design process.
